Latest Finish

So - what have I been up to?  Reading blogs that I have come to find through all the nice comments and new followers thanks to the giveaway.  I also finally finished quilting and binding this Spring Meadow Stacked Coin quilt.  It doesn't have a home yet, but with two daughters in their late twenties, there are a lot of baby showers these days.  I wanted to get the Spring Meadow striped fabric from this collection to make the binding, but couldn't find it for a reasonable price.  So when I went to our local quilt shop, I found a stripe that coordinated beautifully.  I made the bias binding last Saturday and finished the quilting in vertical lines.  I finished hand sewing down the binding last night and sent the quilt through the washer and dryer.  It will be a nice baby shower gift at some point, or I may decide to put it in the Etsy shop and sell it (I'll have to take inventory of the finished baby quilts stashed in my sewing room closet before making a decision).

  1. that is gorgeous. Any baby would love it. I am particularly fond of some sort of piecing on the back of quilts, makes them interesting I think.
